Welcome to the registration for Whitman's Winter 2025 Rowing Training Program. This program is open to all athletes: Middle School, Novice and Varsity. Please note that there is no bus to and from Glen Echo. Families will have to arrange carpools or the kids can use public transportation to get there.
Dates: November 17 to February 13, Monday - Friday only
No practice on the following dates: 11/27, 11/28, 12/12, 12/24 & 12/25.
Schedule and Practice Location
Weekdays at the Bumper Car Pavilion @ Glen Echo Park
7300 MacArthur Blvd, Glen Echo
First Shift: 3:00 - 5:00 PM
Second Shift: 4:30 - 6:30 PM
Girls will attend the first shift on Monday & Wednesday
Boys will attend the first shift on Tuesday & Thursday
Fridays will alternate - Girls will attend the first shift on odd calendar dates. Boys will attend the first shift on even calendar dates.
Coaches understand that due to their dismissal time, middle schoolers will arrive late when they are scheduled to come to the early shift.

Registration and Payment Details
This registration must be completed by the parent or legal guardian of any athlete under 18 years of age. Underage athletes may not register themselves for Whitman Crew.
Please read through each page carefully to ensure that all information is provided accurately. You must complete the registration in full for your athlete to be eligible to participate.
The winter training program registration fee for all athletes is $700.00 (plus the SportsEngine transaction fee).

As a club, we do not receive any financial support from the state of Maryland, Montgomery County, or Walt Whitman High School. Our program depends on the generosity of families, friends, alumni, and community partners to sustain and enhance our team each season. Meeting fundraising goals is essential to maintaining reasonable registration fees and ensuring our continued success. Each high school athlete is responsible for raising $1,100, which can be achieved through several available fundraising opportunities.
Please note that middle school athletes are not required to fundraise. Though we welcome any donation you may want to make to support the team, there is no fundraising requirement for middle schoolers.
Whitman athletes: regardless of your fundraising method, you must complete your fundraising requirement of $1100 by March 15, 2026 for eligibility to RACE IN THE SPRING. Again, if you do not raise $1100 by MARCH 15th, you will not be eligible for the spring races.
